Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider (Initial) Classroom Video-Based Instructor-Led Training Course by American Heart Association teaches both single-rescuer and team Basic Life Support Skills for In-Facility and Prehospital Settings. This course covers 2020 Guidelines Course Content, Skills Practice and Testing. Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider course is designed for healthcare providers and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings or by those in a healthcare training program.

We provide CPR Training Services for: 
Physicians, nurses, nursing students, medical students, dental students, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, physician assistants, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nursing aides, medical assistants, dental assistants, First Responders such as police officers and firefighters, and anyone that provides care to patients in a wide variety of settings or by those in a healthcare training program.

Course Length: 3-4 Hours Classroom Video-based Instructor-Led Course

Students MUST pass a Written Exam (84%) and Skills Testing in order to qualify for a Basic Life Support Provider Course Completion eCard by the American Heart Association. New 2020 Guidelines by American Heart Association, students may use the Basic Life Support Provider Student Manual while taking the Written Examination. 

Upon successful completion of the course with the American Heart Association 2020 Guidelines, the student will receive an American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Provider Course Completion eCard that is valid for 2 years.

American Heart Association requires all students to have a Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Student Manual or eBook to study before, during, and after class. Description

HeartCode BLS is the American Heart Association’s blended eLearning delivery method for the BLS Course. There are two parts to successfully complete the course: you will first (1) complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then you will (2) complete a hands-on skills session with CPR Heart of Angels, LLC—an American Heart Association Training Center.

We provide CPR Training Services for: 
HeartCode BLS is designed for providers who are experienced in the skills of Basic Life Support (BLS). HeartCode BLS is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal Basic Life Support (BLS) course. This course is designed for students that are proficient in their CPR skills and are seeking an alternative from sitting through the entire length of an initial or renewal class.

HeartCode BLS Blended Learning: The HeartCode BLS Blended Learning is combined with self-directed online training with American Heart Association Instructor-Led Classroom Hands-On Practice and Testing Session with CPR Heart of Angels, LLC. HeartCode BLS will allow students to select the In-Facility or Prehospital track before starting the modules. HeartCode BLS Blended Learning Online Course covers the cognitive portion, dramatizations, modules, and eSimulations of the course for Part 1. This convenient internet-based program will allow the student to train at their own pace, anytime, anywhere with internet access. After completing the Blended Learning component, the student will attend a structured Instructor-Led HeartCode BLS Hands-On Skills Session with an American Heart Association Instructor at CPR Heart of Angels, LLC. This course focuses on 2020 Guidelines for skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, learning real-world scenarios, and skills testing.

Requirements prior to course:
All participants MUST take the mandatory ACLS PreCourse Self-Assessment and PreCourse Work (Video Lessons) Online with American Heart Association before taking the ACLS course. This reveals a student’s knowledge before the course to evaluate their proficiency and determine the need for additional review and practice in three sections: rhythm recognition, pharmacology, and practical application. The student must complete the PreCourse Self-Assessment and achieve a score of 70% or higher before taking the ACLS course. There is not a limit on how many times you can take the PreCourse Self-Assessment and PreCourse Work (Video Lessons). Please bring a printed copy of your successful completion certificate to class with you on the date of your ACLS course. If no printed certificate is available, class will be rescheduled for a later date and time. The ACLS PreCourse Work involves a student reviewing course content through online videos before entering the classroom. The video lessons cover multiple medical subjects and each lesson includes questions to engage the student. The PreCourse Work allows more classroom time for hands-on skills training and leads to the student being better prepared to participate as soon as they enter the classroom.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Update (Renewal) Classroom Video-based Instructor-Led course strives to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. This course covers a series of video and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systemic approach to pediatric assessment, Basic Life Support (BLS), PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. This convenient internet-based program will allow the student to train at their own pace, anytime, anywhere with internet access. After completing the Blended Learning component, the student will attend a structured Instructor-Led HeartCode PALS Hands-On Skills Session with an American Heart Association Instructor at CPR Heart of Angels, LLC. Description of Course:

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.

The AHA Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as: Correctional Officers, Childcare workers, Security guards, Maintenance workers, School personnel, Hotel housekeepers, Health and fitness club staff, and Tattoo artists.

Course Content:

  • Protect themselves from blood or blood-containing materials.
  • Act quickly and safely.
  • Clean the area that has blood or blood-containing materials.
  • Tell their supervisor about the incident.

Course Length: 1 Hour

Upon successful completion of the course with the American Heart Association 2015 Guidelines, the student will receive a perforated participation card on the back cover of the book.
