Description of Course: 
An Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Instructor may teach the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Courses (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider (Initial) Classroom Instructor-Led Course, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Update (Renewal) Classroom Instructor-Led Course, and HeartCode ACLS Hands-On Skills Session). 2020 AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor Manual is required for the course. 

Steps to Becoming an American Heart Association ACLS Instructor: 

• Student will need to complete an Instructor Candidate Application and align with an authorized American Heart Association Training Center before enrolling in the ACLS Instructor Course. CPR Heart of Angels, LLC is an authorized American Heart Association Training Center currently accepting ACLS Instructor Candidate Applications.
• Student must have current American Heart Association ACLS Provider Course eCard with eCard number status and be proficient in all of the skills that is required under the ACLS discipline. 
• Student must successfully complete the 2020 AHA Guidelines ACLS Instructor Essentials Online Course and the classroom hands-on session. You can purchase and pay American Heart Association directly. AHA Website: https://shopcpr.heart.org | Course: ACLS Instructor Essentials Online (2020 AHA Guidelines) | AHA Product Number: 20-1419 | You must print the Course Completion Certificate and bring a copy to the ACLS Instructor Course. The Instructor Essentials Course must be completed before attending the ACLS Instructor Course. 
• Student must successfully complete the ACLS Instructor Classroom Course and Paperwork.
• Student must successfully be monitored by CPR Heart of Angels, LLC Training Center Faculty (TCF) member while teaching your first class. This will be scheduled on the same day immediately after the Instructor Course. The Training Center Coordinator may require additional monitoring. CPR Heart of Angels, LLC is an authorized American Heart Association Training Center. 
• Student will be issued an ACLS Instructor Course eCard after successful completion of all requirements.
• Student must purchase own Instructor Books, Student Workbooks, DVD Video’s, etc. Student must bring all materials to the ACLS Instructor Course. Directed Feedback Device Manikins will be discussed during the ACLS Instructor Course. 
• Your Training Center will grant you access to the current emergency cardiovascular care science, course updates, training resources, and tools through the online Atlas American Heart Association Instructor Network. You will be granted access to post your classes on the Atlas American Heart Association Public Class Connector after completion of the ACLS Instructor Course.
